Same issue here! I am a graphic designer and have 11K fonts copied and installed and 256 are showing up! When I try to reinstall it says they are already there yet my programs can not find them!
"Installed" fonts not showing up in Windows Fonts folder
Hi guys,
Unfortunately, none of the previous answers solves my problem.
I try to install fonts. According to Windows that also works but I cannot see the installed fonts in the Windows Fonts folder and neither do they show up in Illustrator.
When I copy a font file into the Windows Fonts folder it says "The "xxxxxx" font is already installed. Do you want to replace it?" - I click yes, but still - the font does not show.
It's not a problem of the font file as it was working previously. Same happens to hundreds of other fonts. Says they are installed but they don't show and they are not selectable in other applications.
Thanks for your help!

2018-11-15T23:39:57+00:00 I also have the same issue, upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 today and all my fonts are missing and when I try to install them to use in Illustrator for instance they won't show up - it seems like no TrueType font shows up when I install it. Really need help with this!

2018-11-28T08:42:16+00:00 Same here, I install a font, Windows says it was installed, I try to look for it in /c/windows/fonts and it does not exist. I try to install it again (or copy and paste the file into the folder) and Windows says "Already installed".
I'm on a Windows 10 work computer that I have admin rights for (since I can install software just fine), wondering if any other people are at work when this is happening?
