Why does my Onedrive.exe file disappear from the %appdata%\local\microsoft\onedrive folder?

I am using that build (18.091.0506.0006) and Windows 7 and this had happened to me twice in the last week. Come on, Microsoft!

I had the exact same experience.  My recommendation is to completely uninstall OneDrive and delete the three directors that you referenced above.   Then download from the OneDrive website the latest Product Ring version (see below or google "OneDrive Download Production Ring") which is the 18.091.0506.0006 build.

This is what I did and it has been working property since June 5.

Thanks for the link for the  18.091.0506.0006 build. The Onedrive.com site is serving up the older buggy version that I can not install over the version I had installed here in Windows7 which was a slightly newer build. The issue was I could not even uninstall it.

The  18.091.0506.0006 was able to upgrade and install properly but just to make sure I will uninstall One Drive and reinstall it. I wished the heck Microsoft would have a standalone uninstaller for Onedrive just for these cases.

Microsoft needs to be sued for its OneDrive bugs. I'm a paying customer for a OneDrive non-service. At your soonest convenience, please provide the address to which process can be served on Microsoft in a lawsuit.

Hello everyone..

Had a similar problem today, my onedrive application seemed to have disappeared from the taskbar, and the onedrive icon in the explorer tree was gone and replaced with generic icons (similar to what one see if an app was uninstalled).

What worked for me was:  I opened C:\Windows\SysWOW64.  In this folder is an application called:  UserAccountBroker.exe.    I clicked on that, and onedrive suddenly sprang to life on my task bar and for the time being seems to be happy.  

I made a shortcut to this application on my desktop for in case it happens again.  

PS.  I clicked on some of the other exe applications in this folder first before finally finding this one... so i cannot tell you 100% that only by clicking this application that things started to work again...but it appeared that this one fixed my problem.  My point is..if it doesn't work for you..maybe try some of the other user applications in this folder?

I spoke to soon. .exe was gone this morning. I have an old version stored away that I copy and paste back into the directory and it works again. Not sure what version the exe is but that's the easiest thing to do right now :( :(
