Why does my Onedrive.exe file disappear from the %appdata%\local\microsoft\onedrive folder?

For some reason, my onedrive.exe program gets deleted after a day from the %appdata%\local\microsoft\onedrive folder.

I have uninstalled OneDrive and then reinstalled it.  The program works for a day, but then the following day I notice that the OneDrive icon is not in my taskbar (i.e. OneDrive stopped running) and then when I go to launch the program, it says it can't fine OneDrive.  I navigate to the folder (noted above) and the OneDrive.exe file is no longer there.

This is really strange.

Can someone help?

    Obviously a pattern here.

After it didn't work yesterday. I deinstalled OneDrive completely from my system (including all data left in %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive).

Reinstalled the version linked to by MaRoselle Cag.

Synchronizing was a pain (lots of sync errors), thus I also needed to remove data from my local client and synced from scratch.

It worked fine then for 24hrs. Then the issue appeared again. In  %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive there are now 4 sub folders (18.025.0204.0009 / 18.065.0329.0002 / 18.091.0506.0006 and 18.091.0506.0006_1) whereas the latter one creating the issue. The *exe can be found in both folders *006 and *006_1 but when starting manually, an error message pops up asking for a dll in *002.

As a workaround I copied the *exe into *002 folder and started the program from there. It seems to work but unsure if this a stable solution.

Er ... no they are not - I have lost the ability to count, apparently!  Sorry.

I will have to see whether mine does too. Possibly run a repair on office? See if that does anything?

I was thinking of doing that if OneDrive had vanished again this morning, but it started alright.

I tried the same thing, but a day or two later, onedrive disappeared again. I completely uninstalled and then downloaded the latest version of onedrive from the web (was version that ended in 06). It happened again.

Really not sure what to do.
