Hi,
I have an open case with Microsoft for this issue. I will add the MalwareBytes factor into discussions with them, as I also have MalwareBytes Premium installed/running.
Cheers,
Nick.

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
For some reason, my onedrive.exe program gets deleted after a day from the %appdata%\local\microsoft\onedrive folder.
I have uninstalled OneDrive and then reinstalled it. The program works for a day, but then the following day I notice that the OneDrive icon is not in my taskbar (i.e. OneDrive stopped running) and then when I go to launch the program, it says it can't fine OneDrive. I navigate to the folder (noted above) and the OneDrive.exe file is no longer there.
This is really strange.
Can someone help?

Yes, see my posting from earlier today. I think that MalwareBytes realtime protection is blocking the final phase of OneDrive update installations.
I've got an open support ticket with MalwareBytes, and will report back when they have an answer/solution.
Excellent. Please let us know and thank you for your work.

Maybe this is triggered by Windows updates? This started just after my router died on me at the beginning of the month and after having set up a new one 8 days ago, this was when the problem occurred and thought maybe that had something to do with it, but was just a coincidence, I think!
I too have Office 365 installed (4 years) and also MalwareBytes anti-malware (2 years) but have been running both without problems. Since running the OneDriveSetup.exe for the second time in 2 days last week it has so far been OK, so fingers crossed it’s sorted itself out.
How to get it up & running again certainly is handy to know, and it only takes a few minutes to do this, and providing it’s not going to occur very frequently, I can live with that.
it is interesting though to know that others have the same issue, and that it’s not something that the user has directly caused.
Yet more evidence of a conflict between MalwareBytes and OneDrive:
Next, Microsoft OneDrive support team hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'm going to see if MalwareBytes support team has a status on this, and if it can be resolved short-term using exclusions.
