Just to keep the flame alive, OneDrive 18.151.0729.0012 showed up today and OneDrive did not start. I had to run OneDriveSetup.exe to "set up OneDrive for first use".
Why is there still no answer as to why this occurs?

For some reason, my onedrive.exe program gets deleted after a day from the %appdata%\local\microsoft\onedrive folder.
I have uninstalled OneDrive and then reinstalled it. The program works for a day, but then the following day I notice that the OneDrive icon is not in my taskbar (i.e. OneDrive stopped running) and then when I go to launch the program, it says it can't fine OneDrive. I navigate to the folder (noted above) and the OneDrive.exe file is no longer there.
This is really strange.
Can someone help?

After first joining this discussion several weeks ago, when I had to re-install OneDrive 2 or 3 times within the space of a few days, since then it had been OK until a week or so ago, then it disappeared again! After re-installing yet again, it’s been fine since. Though it does only take a few minutes to re-install, it is frustrating and a bit of an inconvenience.
Well, it worked for a few weeks, then same-o same-o. I had to execute it again this morning. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!
My thanks to you and all who replied about this annoyance. I have not had a problem since executing the OneDriveSetup.exe a few weeks ago. I don't think there have been any updates to Windows since then, but if my OneDrive connection craps out on me again I'll go back and execute again. I just wish MicroSoft would come up with a long term solution to this. (Then again, I wish there were world peace and universal prosperity and a Santa Claus.)
Yes, I tried this several versions ago; no luck.
