(error 0x000007d1) on Printer

Hello;

Since I have updated to the new version 1803, my Brother's HL-L2340DW Mono Laser printer will not print, and receive this error code. I have uninstalled this drivers and program 3 time and reinstalled it. It is setup for wireless. It says that the printer is there and working, but no print. It says that it has a invalid driver. So, somewhere in your programming of 1803 version Microsoft had changed something. Because it used to work flawlessly. I don't think this is a Brother's driver problem, but a Microsoft drivers problem. Fix it please! I want my printer to work again. And don't tell me it is a Brother's problem when I know it all started with the version of 1803. This is a screen shot of the error code that I get. I was trying to print a test page.

Thank You

    Hi David,

    A misconfiguration with the device driver can cause the error code 0x000007D1. I will need more details to properly address your issue. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • How did you install the printer driver? Was it automatically installed through Windows Update or did you manually install it?
    • Can you tell me the current OS Build of your Windows 10 version 1803 PC? You can find this information by clicking the Start button, type About your PC, press Enter, and then scroll down to Windows specifications.

    For now, I recommend performing the troubleshooting steps outlined in the articles below. The links have instructions on how to troubleshoot printer issues in Windows 10.

    We're looking forward to your response.

    I am also experiencing the error code 0x000007D1 with my Dell Multifunction E515dw printer.  I have uninstalled printer drivers and installed the drivers manually from the Dell site as well as through Windows in an effort to fix problem.  I have also restored the computer to the date before the version 1803 update (5/22/2018) but to no avail.  I spent almost an hour with Dell technical support too, but I am still unable to print.  I have tried all of the troubleshooting resources listed above.  The OS Build for my PC is 17134.1.  I appreciate any help you can give me with this.  Thank you!

    Milton

    My husband has the exact same problem with Windows Update Version 1803.  Since updating, he cannot print anything on our Brother laser printer.  Keeps getting the same invalid driver error message.  Everything was working fine before the update.  We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software 3 times.  Did not help.  Even tried recovering the system back to the previous version.  It took ages to whirr and buzz and restart...  There was a message saying that the recovery was succesful... But the printer still would not work, and when I checked the version of Windows - it STILL said 1803.    We are at a loss to know how to reconnect with our printer.  I have deleted all the downloaded Windows update files on my own computer, and set my wifi connection to appear "metered" in an attempt to stop my own computer installing this horrible update until this problem is fixed.

    Microsoft,  PLEASE, PLEASE, fix this ASAP!
