(error 0x000007d1) on Printer

Hello;

Since I have updated to the new version 1803, my Brother's HL-L2340DW Mono Laser printer will not print, and receive this error code. I have uninstalled this drivers and program 3 time and reinstalled it. It is setup for wireless. It says that the printer is there and working, but no print. It says that it has a invalid driver. So, somewhere in your programming of 1803 version Microsoft had changed something. Because it used to work flawlessly. I don't think this is a Brother's driver problem, but a Microsoft drivers problem. Fix it please! I want my printer to work again. And don't tell me it is a Brother's problem when I know it all started with the version of 1803. This is a screen shot of the error code that I get. I was trying to print a test page.

Thank You

Based on your post on printing, I think that the Microsoft Virtual Agent can help you troubleshoot your issue. It'll walk you through the right troubleshooting steps based on the specific problem you're facing.

Please let us know if this solved your issue.

    This solved my problem. I was chasing this issue for the last week or so. It  happened after the last Microsoft Windows update. I had uninstalled and reinstalled Brother drivers and software at least three or four times. I did not have a Windows restore point to go back to prior to the update. The restore point created at the time of the update did not solve the issue so I was a bit confused to what or who was causing the problem. Obviously a Windows problem. Glad I found this forum response.

    Hi David,

    A misconfiguration with the device driver can cause the error code 0x000007D1. I will need more details to properly address your issue. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • How did you install the printer driver? Was it automatically installed through Windows Update or did you manually install it?
    • Can you tell me the current OS Build of your Windows 10 version 1803 PC? You can find this information by clicking the Start button, type About your PC, press Enter, and then scroll down to Windows specifications.

    For now, I recommend performing the troubleshooting steps outlined in the articles below. The links have instructions on how to troubleshoot printer issues in Windows 10.

    We're looking forward to your response.

    I have the same Problem with ALL Printers. This is definitly a Microsoft Problem.

    Windows 10 Pro, Vers. 1803, Build: 17134.48

    All my Printer (HP, Brother, PDF etc.) dosn't Print and end woth Errorcode 0x000007d1 or by print a Testpage with the Hint: "The specified driver is invalid"

    This Problem sice the Update to Version 1803!

    The Printer-Driver is from Microsoft Repository himself!

    But the Driver from the Manufakture have the same Problem

    The Problem are on  USB and Network on all Printer from different Manufaktures
