Hi I am having problems re-linking my computer & printer, wouldn't work with wi-fi was told to connect with USB cable, still won't work. Have the above error code coming up but I'm pretty computer illiterate & don't understand how to follow the solution
I saw below HELP someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do I launch the feedback hub 1st of all?
Hi Susan,
I had the same problem but couldn't afford the time to go through the process of the feedback hub (sorry Microsoft), I was in dire need of an urgent fix and just went with the workaround.
Trying to put it into simpler terms (the workaround....),
the "windows key" is the key between the "Fn" and "Alt" keys (left bottom of keyboard), hold the "windows key" down and press the "R" key
This will open a dialogue box (bottom left of screen) called "Run" - next to where it says "Open:", type regedit and then click "OK"
There may be another pop-up that will ask: Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device - Registry Editor - click YES
The Registry Editor will open
Starting under "Computer" look down the list until you see an entry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Click the "right arrow/(greater than)" next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and it will expand the next section and look down that list for "SYSTEM"
Click the "right arrow" next to SYSTEM and it will expand the next section and look down that list for "CurrentControlSet"
Click the "right arrow" next to CurrentControlSet and it will expand the next section and look down that list for "Control"
Click the "right arrow" next to Control and it will expand the next section and look down that list for "Print"
Click the "right arrow" next to Print and it will expand the next section and look down that list for "PostSPUpgrade"
Click on this entry - PostSPUpgrade - it should now be highlighted (it is important that this is the entry that is highlighted)
Look for the "Edit" tab (top left hand corner of the Registry Editor) - click on it and a drop down box will appear - click on "Delete"
Close the Registry Editor and restart your PC.
Hopefully you will be bathed in joy and wonderfulness when you find that you can now print again.
