Windows 10 1803 update gives this message 0xc1900101. Then windows update starts the download again.
Then it's message 0x80070005.

0xC1900101 is generic error code and points to driver incompatibility while you opt to upgrade. You need to read the dialog, which likely came before this error message. There should be additional information with the detail. The dialog will tell you what devices are having a problem. That is the one you need to get a new driver for.
Once you fixed the driver(s) mentioned with detail, the error will no longer persist.

I fought with trying to update to 1803 for months. I tried everything I could think of but kept getting rolled back before completion. It was so frustrating and I can feel all of your pain. However, I finally bit the bullet and reset my PC (Settings>Recovery>Reset this PC). I had resisted because of not knowing whether I'd brick my PC, lose data files or the hassle of reinstalling programs and having to configure everything. RESETTING WAS THE BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE RELATED TO WINDOWS. My PC is about 5 years old and Windows 10 was an upgrade from the original 7 that it came with. All the crap that had accumulated with updates and changes is now gone. Not only was the new install 1803, but when it came to upgrading to 1809 a month later, it went without a hitch. I didn't bother reinstalling the applications that I hadn't used in forever. My PC has never run better; fast and smooth. Reset even creates a list of applications you had installed and puts the file on your desktop. Just make sure you have the activation codes for the programs you need to reinstall.
The whole process took me far less time than I had wasted trying to get to 1803 via Windows Update. It's obviously not what I wanted, but having gone through it I'm happy I finally took this route. None of my data was lost and almost all my customizations were maintained.

Most possibly. The repeated failed updates ended up doing quite a number on my 1803 install and it is janky as hell. user permissions are all over the place. theres windows lags out once in a while. regular every day folders i can no longer delete.... boot up is slower etc etc.
And i cant reset windows because the update destroyed the recovery image when rolling back. I tried to follow the guide you linked to but it was confusing and i couldnt get user permissions to work properly to delete registry keys so im just going to do a back up and reinstall.
Unplug all USB-Devices and don't use a second screen. That helped me.
