Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4103721 Version 1803

This update has some serious issues, specifically. Do NOT install this update after updating to Windows 10 version 1803. It will prevent your computer from booting up. I am stuck on the spinning circle for a long time. I have to use a Windows 10 USB to boot into the Troubleshooting and use Command Prompt to boot into safe mode. Please fix this update!

UPDATE: I have a tutorial on how to fix that:

I discovered that if you installed a program from Iobit (like Driver Booster, for example) it creates a service called "LiveUpdate" with full name, as I remember, "LiveUpdateSvc".

Even if you remove the program the service will remain and this cause the KB4103721 update to fail to boot Windows after the update.

Uninstall all Iobit programs and remove the service from the administrator command prompt typing "sc delete LiveUpdateSvc" (check it is the correct service name) and then you will be updating Windows without any problem.

I experienced this issue on two computers and this has been the solution.

    Go into safe mode, it will uninstall it right away then reboot and it will be fine, but i would suggest you stop auto updates or it will keep on doing it, it did to me 3 times today and 3 times i had to go into safe mode to take it off!

    I also don't have this app installed. I am trying to work out what is different between the one machine which fails and the others which have worked. Some obvious differences:

    * was on 17134.1 and not 17134.7 as that update was blocked (running Windows Mixed Reality headset)

    * running Windows Mixed Reality headset and software

    * has Corel photo and video editing, which both have supporting services

    * has TomTom Home installed which seems to have a service associated

    * has Nero software installed which also has a helper service

    * has Epson scanner software which has a related service

    * has GOG Galaxy installed which has related services

    * uses services for Syncovery file copy/sync software

    Other services which I have but which seem to have been ok as worked on other machine/s:

    * Adobe Elements related services

    * IObit Uninstaller service

    * ASUS hardware related services

    * Steam and Origin related services

    If anyone else has a similar set of services and is facing the same issue, maybe we can compare notes to see if we can find the other causes. I'd rather see if there are any other possible causes that we can find before I try the update again - don't want the pain of having to recover it, although looks like the Safe Mode recovery process seems to be pretty reliable based on others' experience - which is good, as System Restore seems to be problematic for me on this machine!

    There is a conflict between update kb4103721 and service advanced system care for those who have this program running.
