Minecraft Windows 10 Edition - (Unable to connect to world) Friend can't join me and I can't join friend

So a volunteer moderator can reply to his problem but a dev or somebody who knows how to fix this bug can't? Seems legit.

Absolutely, answers.microsoft.com is a place to vent frustrations when the game you paid for does not work as advertised. Then to remind you how to properly vent said frustration in accordance the code of content. Not to actually present the solution to the problem because we do not really know what to do. So just continue the play the game and hope the problem will self correct until a new game becomes more interesting. At which point you stop playing this one and repeat the cycle on the next. Thank you for your time, understanding, money and remember to shop SMART shop S-Mart!

Seriously?! The guy made threats and complaints were made. They have to do something about it.

Quit whining that a volunteer moderator did what they are supposed to do for free on their own time.

And quit going further off topic.  Add useful info here, add complaints to the feedback button.

Hello guys, i got the same problem on my Windows 10 PC.

I can see my friend playing Minecraft at his survival world and i cant join him - i click on him in friend list, it's says "Connecting to Multiplayer world", after some seconds it goes error: Connection time out, unable to connect to world.

Also he got same problem.

And none thing we try cant solute it (like oprening ports, VPN, reinstalling game, change Microsoft and xBox settings).

There is still no solutioon, right?

Whenever we try to connect to each other's worlds through the Xbox app it says "Unable to connect to world". We can play together on a realms server, and can join other servers, just not each other.

I've changed my NAT type to open, and port forwarded all the required ports for the Xbox app. Still nothing.

I've tried using a VPN to several different countries but still has the same results.

We are both using Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition.

We have both uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft, no luck.

Similar to this probelm, I play on Minecraft Education Edition, and I CANNOT join my friend's worlds. It always says, Unable to connect to world. So sad I can't join other people's world. It might be because I am ranked as a student and not a teacher.
