I was trying to do the suggested workaround which was uninstall the January cumulative update but my system won't allow me to uninstall cumulative updates. I'm not a total novice but I don't understand how they give this as a workaround when uninstalling them isn't allowed. What am I doing wrong?

2018-04-13T02:09:19+00:00 I was never able to install the Cumulative Update through Windows Update, This was on a fairly fresh Windows installation on a Surface Book 2. I was able to install it with the standalone installer, however. See Knowledge Base article and download link.

Couldn't get help from MSFT even after trying for hours as well.
