Hello,
I tried to do a live chat. Alas there were 53 people waiting in front of me. Hopefully 53 others with the same issue!
Good day everyone,
I also have an Issue installing apps from Microsoft (MS) Store with 3 Dell Windows 8.1 tablets only. Recently, when I try to install an app on each tablet I get the same message after a few seconds that says "Something happened and your purchase can't be completed. Error Code: 0xc03f300d." Note that apps that were installed on the tablets prior to this issue work/run fine. I ran troubleshooter that found no issues and ran wsreset.exe on each tablet and still received the same error message. I even ran a powershell approach that did not fix issue. Also, my Windows 10 ASUS laptop has no issues installing and running apps from MS Store.
Actions taken:
In conclusion, I do believe this is likely a Microsoft Store issue for windows 8.1 users since I had no issues until last week. I hope Microsoft, someone, or even you the reader works out a fix for this issue soon. Good luck!
Has anyone tried to roll back the updates from April 8 2018. I have two totally seperate computers, lap top and desk top, rinning 8.1. Both affected in the same way. Both affected April 8 after updates. I am not tech savvy enough to know how to undo an update
Well, after renewing my support contract and going through a 2.5 hour support session, I now have my system removed and reinstalled, clean and many other issues fixed to my satisfaction.....except for the windows store/solitaire problem. After consulting with a supervisor, my technician confirmed that this is a microsoft problem that they are aware of and are working on it. Pass the word.
I thought of the same thing, but being unaware of which small part of any one particular update may be causing the problem, I dare not either. But, after renewing my serivice contract, then going through a long session that seems to have made this old Dell work like new again. (for awhile any way) I still had the same problem. My technician got with a supervisor and discovered that it is a Microsoft issue and they are working to fix the problem. Pass it on. ;-D
