Thanks Gary - I agree with your comment. The Microsoft Tech today promised to bump the issue up to have someone work on a fix. He also mentioned that he was not aware of this issue. If you and others are having a similar issue with the Windows 8.1 Microsoft Store, please call Microsoft to report it, unless you have already done so. I think if more people report this issue that it will make finding a fix more of a priority and there may also be some information that will help Microsoft trouble shoot and find a solution.

6. Spoke to Microsoft support a few times today - Please also note that I was told that Microsoft does not officially support windows 8.1 tablets - as far as I am concerned the tablets work great and are not the issue.

In conclusion, I do believe this is likely a Microsoft Store issue for windows 8.1 users since I had no issues until last week. I hope Microsoft, someone, or even you the reader works out a fix for this issue soon. Good luck!

 

Microsoft supports the operating system, 8.1. Makes no difference if it is a PC or a tablet. 

Don't let them get away with that excuse.

The current problem is with MS, not your device.

Update: After renewing my 1 year service contract then going through a 2.5 hour session wi the technician, I have a fast, clean computer that still cannot reload my solitaire collection or for the most part, connect with the windows store. The tech had a conversation with her supervisor and determined that the problem is indeed on their end. They are working on it.
