"Up to date" even though I am running version 1507 (RTM build of Windows 10); how to get 1803 (Redstone 4)?

Well without any real help from anyone, I managed to get a legitimately genuine version of Windows 10 installed on my computer... but it is from a DVD so I am running the first released version of the operating system, and I am trying to update to the latest release. When I run Windows Update, I used to see "Feature Update to 1803" as an available update, but now I don't see it at all and I know for a fact that I am still running Threshold instead of Redstone.

    Personally I think installing, say, version 1607 --> 1709 --> 1803 would be a lot more time-consuming but also more convenient in a process of trial and error, seeing which updates work and where things fail during the upgrade.

    Also, this is actually useful information.~

    If 1803 absolutely won't install, I'd go through the troop in reverse starting with 1709.

    I edited an earlier post to say 1507 should show Backup & Restore in Control Panel, if it isn't in Settings. I saw your edit of a prior post, but we aren't notified of edit's, just the original post.

    So, usually it's best only to edit a post that hasn't been answered yet - as I've just edited this one.

    Well currently I try the "clean boot" as a final check so now I am trying to install 1803 again, but with this in mind, where could possibly I acquire 1709?

    Note: That is a 3rd-party site. Informative - but I know nothing (good or bad) about any downloads or links that may be there. Andre is well-respected, though.

    I've never needed to try it, myself.

    Edit: Remember you must download the same Edition (Pro, Home, etc.) that you've got a license to, or be forced to purchase a new license. So, you need the Pro edition, & it is good to match your Architecture too - that's x64 for you.

    Well I might have to resort to that then... it managed to get up to 82% and it started reverting the upgrade again...

    UPDATE: I get the same error as before (0xC1900101 - 0x4000D) so I will also double-check to see if I missed something...
