"Up to date" even though I am running version 1507 (RTM build of Windows 10); how to get 1803 (Redstone 4)?

Welp, as it turns out, I did actually update three or four drivers for various devices so that could have been the issue as well.

... this is starting to become incredibly irritating... I've just hit a mood swing before I see my comupter restoring from 1703 again and that isn't helping either... as soon as I get error codes, I will post them here...

First error code is the same. C1900101 - 4000D...

The diagnostics tool is taking too long as always so I am just going to send the entire log of errors which happened during the upgrade...

If it really is a driver issue... I just went ahead and disabled several devices, including my mouse, ethernet, and graphics adaptor, which I am sure might be the conflicting drivers, who knows?

If that doesn't work then I don't think trying the Creators' Update (1709) will bring much luck either.

The computer is under my father's name and he holds the main account on the computer. However, when I installed 1607, I was on my account, which also has administrator rights.

I ran the updator again so I cannot check the Panther folder at the moment...

Windows Update does NOT require you to be in an admin account to do the updates/upgrades.

It is reasonable for you to have an admin account.

But the "computer best practice" is for daily use you should use a "user" class account with UAC enabled. That is the single most important personal security step you can / should / MUST take.  This blocks running of 60-90% of malware attacks (depending on who did testing).

Code C1900101 - 4000D is primarily a driver issue.

So one of the mitigations is to minimize driver use.  Unplug as many extra devices you have connected, printer, mouse, external keyboard as possible.

Start Device Manager (using Run As Admin) Go through your driver list and make sure everything is up to date.

Maybe skip ahead to 1709 to see whether it gives an error message & whether it is the same.
