"Up to date" even though I am running version 1507 (RTM build of Windows 10); how to get 1803 (Redstone 4)?

Well without any real help from anyone, I managed to get a legitimately genuine version of Windows 10 installed on my computer... but it is from a DVD so I am running the first released version of the operating system, and I am trying to update to the latest release. When I run Windows Update, I used to see "Feature Update to 1803" as an available update, but now I don't see it at all and I know for a fact that I am still running Threshold instead of Redstone.

    Well here I am again with good news...

    I have successfully installed 1607 Anniversary Update on my computer.

    Next one I will try is either 1703 or 1709. In any case, though, I am finally getting somewhere.~

    UPDATE: This is what I was talking about earlier when I said Redstone 4 was appearing in Windows Update...

    No, that link there is good and I will start with the 1607 Anniversary Update, see how that works, but for now I really should be getting some sleep... it's been too long a day now.

    Thank you all so far for your help, I think that, even if I don't get my computer updated, a few good things still come out of this.

    It looks like you've done the Quick Fixes that are there, though. Maybe try the SetupDiag tool for a better error message.

    I agree with PCR, if 1803 won't install, try backing down through the versions: 1709, 1703, 1607.

    You can use this tool to supposedly download the ISO files from MS (I have not seen independent confirmation)
