something went wrong while trying to turn on spatial sound

Please help,

i have Asus ROG GL-553VW and OS build - 17134.165 and i bought Dolby atoms but it's not working. I tried to update my drivers still no effect.

Please help

    it seems like I might be doing just that, they are forcing me to do a clean install due to crappy support...

    this has been working for me for like 4 days now and i have also updated the nvidia driver but i did a custom installation and didnt install the nvidea hd audio option. After how many days exactly did the problem reinitiated?? please reply buddy,.

    it worked that one day and hasn't worked since.   the search goes on. the minute I shutdown and restarted the spatial sound stopped working.

    .THE WAY WORK FOR ME IS IF YOU POWER ON FIRTS THE RECEVIER, THAT WAY THE COMPUTER RECOGNIZES THE DRIVER EFTER THAT TURN ON THE PC CHECK IF WORK FOR YOU

    I just tried this, and Boom!  Just selected dolby atmos and it worked!!!!  Don't know how long the manual fix will work for but at least now I have a way to force it to work.  Unplug hdmi cable to your receiver, for me this is an absolute pain, start computer up with hdmi unplugged to receiver.  Once computer fully started, (I verified computer was fully loaded by remoted desktopping to it) plug hdmi cable to receiver.  Log in to computer and immediately select dolby atmos.  I kept the receiver on at all times during the process.

    Unfortunatelly this didn't do the trick for me either.

    Alright. I found a solution to the problem i had. I had atmos going for month. Then suddently, i couldn't swap to atmos anymore in the sound settings. I just got the message "Something went wrong when trying to turn on spatial sound". What i did was, that i troubleshot the audio. So i right clicked on the sound icon, and did "trouble shooting sound", and then i selected my soundbar, and the trouble shooting said it fixed something, then i restarted the pc, and i was able to select atmos once again, without no error message. Hope this helps somebody.

    Did not help, he suggested reinstalling audio drivers, but this I tried anyway. Didn't work here either. Only solution right now is to reinstall Windows again and again for me. And this obviously sucks.
