I updated windows 1903 and update dobly access app.  now I was able to click on doolby atmos for home theater, also turned off Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".

I do not have receiver.  My HDMI is connect  PC to a old screen, the output is sound on youtube is really low even turn volume to maximum.   after months of working on this issue, the setting finally stay. I not know if any other software or windows update will lose it again.

This happens to me after a couple of weeks after turning on my PC and AV Receiver, I ultimately get it fixed somehow either restart or going through and modifying sound settings. Nothing is ever consistent.

This last time I turned off "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" in the Device Properties>Advanced. This allowed me to select Atmos again. Not sure if this is a permanent fix or not.

    Tried. Not for me.

    I have the same problem...

    Sony St-Ht5000

    Rtx 2080 ti

    9900k

Dolby Atmos for home theater worked ar first, then stopped.

I have been able to get it working twice by following some tips from this post, but this time it won’t work.

This is so annoying, frustrating and, well, just pisses me off.

Are we getting a fix for this, MS (or Nvidia or Dolby, I don’t care who fixes ir, just do it!)
