OneDrive automatically deleting files from OneDrive folder

The OneDrive forum appears to have been locked, so I am trying this one.

I moved some large files (photos) to my OneDrive folder to share between PCs and left them synchronising.  When I came back to check on their progress, the files had disappeared from the PCs.  Looking at the OneDrive window it shows them being added to Onedrive then mysteriously being removed a few minutes later.  What on earth is going on?    I tried Ctrl & Z to see if it could undo the removal.  The files looked as if they were being restored - but just disappeared again.  It's a good job I noticed, otherwise I could have lost these files forever.  I can't afford to have my important files just disappearing like that.

    We did the following to resolve the issue:

    1. Log out of Office 365 - just log out of any one of the programs;
    2. Cleared the cache credentials - see the control panel for the Windows Cache Credentials and then deleted anything to do with Microsoft Office 365;
    3. Uninstalled Office 365;
    4. Restarted the computer and ensured that no Cache Credentials were left;
    5. Re-installed Office 365.

    This was the only way in which we could resolve this problem. It took some time.

    Yes, I have this same issue. Yet another screw up on Microsoft's behalf. Then turning their "so called workarounds" into what ever "I" did was the mistake. Having scanned through about 3 pages of this thread I have given up. The notice I received was 52,838 files have been deleted from OneDrive. Really? Really? I mean Honey there are only 58,000 files in my computer that I had to sync with OneDive. Microsoft you need to fix this issue. I am not telling you to tell the bloggers to fix it on our own. You need to fix it.

    I am also having the same problem. Files are initially going into one drive then a few days later they have vanished. I can find them in the recycle bin and restore them but this is causing such a problem to my business and time consuming. when i restore certain files for a client, it refreshes and the other files have gone. I then need to log out and re sign in for the other files to appear. i have lost faith in Onedrive now and i need an urgent solution to this problem.
