OneDrive automatically deleting files from OneDrive folder

The OneDrive forum appears to have been locked, so I am trying this one.

I moved some large files (photos) to my OneDrive folder to share between PCs and left them synchronising.  When I came back to check on their progress, the files had disappeared from the PCs.  Looking at the OneDrive window it shows them being added to Onedrive then mysteriously being removed a few minutes later.  What on earth is going on?    I tried Ctrl & Z to see if it could undo the removal.  The files looked as if they were being restored - but just disappeared again.  It's a good job I noticed, otherwise I could have lost these files forever.  I can't afford to have my important files just disappearing like that.

If Windows was linux-based, I'd do

    rm Windows/system32 -rf

just out of anger! I'm tired of Microsoft's bugs!

I have been fighting problem since the last update in October, I believe.  I still have not gotten a solution after numerous times back and forth with a technician.  I lost all my music files; still haven't found them...over 8,000 songs!!!

Even worse, the OneDrive recycle bin folder isn't working! The webpage looks normal, but none of the buttons work! It's like Microsoft designed a catch-all ransomware program, and then embedded it into OneDrive Web and desktop! WHY?😭 At least I can regenerate my files, but some people, like you, can't even do that! This is unacceptable!

I have the same problem with enterprise OneDrive. I've been doing some redesigning of my folder logos, and today OneDrive just went on a rampage deleting all my desktop.ini files and, most recently, a very important file I needed for troubleshooting. I'm about to ditch OneDrive and add an entry to Task Scheduler to end the OneDrive process every time it starts or I sign in. UGH!
