Many thanks for your help! Unfortunatelly the app hangs a little bit if you press the button for longer time. How this can be fixed?
Cheers, Peter
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I use my 950XL extensively for demos of my company's software because it's much better display than my iPhone and doesn't need additional apps to do it.
I updated my Win10 desktop today to 1803 and also my phone updated to .104 and the app no longer works.
When I open the app I get the message on the phone to ask if I want to share and I agree. The display on the desktop is black, but I can actually start applications on the phone by clicking inside the black window, so there obviously is a connection, just no display.
I was working perfectly, but not now.
As a workaround, is it possible to use continuum? I'm sure there used to be an option to display the phone's screen rather than a full desktop to the connected display but that appears to be no longer available
Thanks,
Chris

First, please try new app dated 2018/08/04:

-> WinPhoneProjection-nyama3310.zip
If the problem still occurs, please tell me the deteail.
Does "Button" mean WP UI button on the app, isn't it?
After long time pressing the button, how app hangs?
* Full dead lock : Unable active/deactive(foreground/backgroud change),
Unable select menu, No window redraw.
* Remote dead lock : activate, menu, redraw are OK, but WP screen drawing
locks up and mouse/touch operation for WP are unable.
* minimum dead lock : PC side is all OK and the operation for WP are OK.
Only WP screen drawing locks up.
I just tried it. After some careful inspection I discovered that it's oddly catching a "pull down system menu" event.
When you type with your mouse. A good chunk of area for "Q" / "Shift" / "Backspace" / "P" on the edge of the screen "appears unresponsive". But If you drag down a bit. You can see the system menu being pulled from the top.
It's not hanging, you can test this by directly interacting with the phone.
Sorry but I can't reproduce that.
You say that touching side edge of
WP screen keyboard cause that wp notification
center drop down, don't you?
Would you tell me certain reproduction?
I once see similar issue in eallier version of
my app and MS original app.
This issue seems that injection of
overange(out of screen) touch event from PC
causes distortion of WP screen cordinate.
Current version of my app has no ability of
drop down notification center because
out of screen touch event isn't supported unlike
MS app. so my app may not have this issue.
Hi,
it seems to be the minimal deadlock: the app itself works, pressing around the screen works (the physical phone screen gets updated), but the emulated WP is not. It seems to be a drawing issue - dragging the app outside of (computer) screen results in a black stripe where it went out of screen.
Reproducing: pressing backspace (WP UI button) either repeatedly or for a longer moment without keyup. This is not guaranteed to cause the issue immediately, but after a moment it does. Apparently pressing the spacebar (on the PC) fixes the issue, until triggered again with WP UI backspace button.
Cheers,
Peter
