Lumia 950XL - Project My Screen not working after Win10 1803 Update - Black Screen

I use my 950XL extensively for demos of my company's software because it's much better display than my iPhone and doesn't need additional apps to do it.

I updated my Win10 desktop today to 1803 and also my phone updated to .104 and the app no longer works.

When I open the app I get the message on the phone to ask if I want to share and I agree. The display on the desktop is black, but I can actually start applications on the phone by clicking inside the black window, so there obviously is a connection, just no display.

I was working perfectly, but not now.

As a workaround, is it possible to use continuum? I'm sure there used to be an option to display the phone's screen rather than a full desktop to the connected display but that appears to be no longer available

Thanks,

Chris

same.  i've never tried to project from phone (samsung s9 with android 8.0.0) to windows 10 (msi ge62) pc before but i get the same message: "this device might have trouble displaying your content because its hardware wasn't specifically designed for wireless projection version: 10.0.17134.1".  my phone states "try unplugging the connected device's power cable, then plug it in again".

i agree with chrishxx's post on May 25, 2018... if it used to work before, pc was upgraded to 1803, now it doesn't work, then 1803 broken it.  of course, other things 'could' have changed but this at least warrants investigation.

i use an amazon fire stick with mirroring.  i am able to project from android and from windows 10 pc to the amazon fire stick.  i just can't project from android to windows 10 pc.

i tried re-setting the app to defaults.

i made sure that my drivers are up to date (using slimdrivers).

    from netsh wlan sh d....

What I dont understand, is why Microsoft themselfes doesnt solve this problem. I think they should take more care of people using their devices and apps People are working with. This app was very usefull, but passed away. This is a pity.
