Lumia 950XL - Project My Screen not working after Win10 1803 Update - Black Screen

I use my 950XL extensively for demos of my company's software because it's much better display than my iPhone and doesn't need additional apps to do it.

I updated my Win10 desktop today to 1803 and also my phone updated to .104 and the app no longer works.

When I open the app I get the message on the phone to ask if I want to share and I agree. The display on the desktop is black, but I can actually start applications on the phone by clicking inside the black window, so there obviously is a connection, just no display.

I was working perfectly, but not now.

As a workaround, is it possible to use continuum? I'm sure there used to be an option to display the phone's screen rather than a full desktop to the connected display but that appears to be no longer available

    Any news on this? It is very frustrating that Microsoft broke something which has been working for years and has made no attempt to fix it.

    Jan, if you agree it would be very nice if could share your work.

    If you have OneDrive, as I suppose, you could upload the file to your "public folder" , and report here the link so we can get it.

    Uhmmm , maybe there are no risk  of legal issues.

    Quite large, good references, HQ in San Francisco.... if they published that source it means that there are no exposures.

    no remote inputs from the software possible?

    Can you at least use the "touch dot" feature?   (E.g. show where you would like something to be tapped if not actually get it done.)   <eg>

    I think the main purpose of the reverse engineered app was to provide the capture function, capture of single screen images and a sequence of them, in a video format. Thus, this assumes that you work on the phone, and the app on the PC just shows and captures.

    I would really appreciate if you could share your work, in some way.

    But, but.... are we sure that by sharing that work we are  not running into some sort of legal issue ? ?  I mean ... reverse engineering ... copyrights... it is true that you, Jan,  did not do the reversing action yourself and you used the source publicly available to everybody , present on internet without any restriction, but still... I have some doubts.

    Anybody among the readers with a lawyer background ?
