I keep getting this error message when I try to recover my files from OneDrive.
"We can't open this file right now. Make sure OneDrive is running on your PC, then try again."
These files were on my windows 8 laptop, but it died so I put everything in OneDrive and now I can't access my files!!!! Help!!!! My new laptop is running on windows 10.
How do I fix this? I need these files ASAP!!!!

I found that if you right click on the OneDrive icon (two white clouds) in the system tray (where your time shows) and then choose "Quit OneDrive" and then start it again from the Start Menu, it would let me access my files that previously gave the "We can't open this file right now. Make sure OneDrive is running on your PC, then try again" error.
I just had the same problem and seem to have solved it. This is what I did. From the start menu, I pinned one drive to taskbar. Then in taskbar I right clicked Onedrive and clicked "Open" and dont askme how but it is working normally now.

found out I was running a VPN and OneDrive blocked. I signed into usual IP (foreign server) and one drive worked as normal.
? Unsubscribe either y do it OE I unplug all and tell my bank any payments to outlook are unauthorized. I do not want your service it does not work for me (.) I will not be charged......are you to comply without further communication would be appropriate.
Just buy Apple products from now on. Way more productive, than to keep wasting time dealing with this bunch.
