I recently gave up on a brand new Dell windows laptop - it continually froze and hung up - Dell worked on it for 6 months - used up about 30 hours of my time. They couldn't fix it and wouldn't stand behind it even though I could prove it started happening first time I logged in - I just didn't realize what was happening for the first few months. It kept throwing WHEA-logger errors - more than 16,000 in the first two days after reinstall. Costco graciously let me trade it in for an HP - no where near the quality, but at least it works. Interestingly enough, I tried the store model of the Dell demo at a later date and it did the same thing - wonder how many other poor suckers are out there with that model of Dell who haven't realized the freezes aren't just because it is a slow computer!
