Installed April update the first day it was available. What a mistake. Prior to installing this abortion of an update, my system had been rock steady since the advent of Win 10. Never once a BSOD. Ever. All that changed with this piece of crap update. BSOD's all over the place. Memory "issues" that were not present previously. Apps crashing, disappearing. And more BSOD's.
Launch Event Viewer to try to track the errors down. Boom, BSOD.
Since May 1, I have periods where everything seems normal. Then, after working all day on various projects, multiple BSOD's, freezing, crashing.
Sometimes the Shift+Win+Ctrl+B works. Others not so much.
Chrome will sometimes stay open for hours at a time, making me think all has been resolved. Then boom, a freeze or a crash. Launch Chrome again, and bang. Another freeze up and no amount of mousing or combination of keys will bring it back to life.
May 8 Updates did NOTHING. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
This is the worst ever. Worse than Window ME. Worse than Vista (I actually liked Vista...it was just an early Win7). Never had any of the kinds of issues that I've now experienced in the past 10 days.
And strangely the errors, crashes and BSOD's seem to be confined to only one of my dozen or so computers that were updated with the April Update.
I've reinstalled. Replaced my SSD with a new one with a fresh install. Replaced memory. Done everything except replace the motherboard, and still the same freezing, BSODs and reboots. I've run MSERT scans. Norton full system scans. Nothing has turned up.
So what's the cause? I don't know. Gotta be the Windows April Update that borked my system. Nothing else makes any sense.
