Microsoft is aware that some devices running the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) may hang or freeze when using certain apps, such as “Hey Cortana” or Chrome. If your device freezes when using an app, try one of the following steps to recover Windows without needing to restart: Try a Windows key sequence to wake the screen. If you have a keyboard connected, simultaneously press the Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B . If you’re on a tablet, simultaneously press both the volume-up and volume-down buttons, three times within 2 seconds. If Windows is responsive, a short beep will sound and the screen will blink or dim while Windows attempts to refresh the screen. If you’re using a laptop, close and open the laptop lid. Microsoft is working on a solution with the goal of including it in the next regular monthly update, currently targeted for a release date of May 8, 2018. Update (5/8/18): A solution was included in the May 8th, 2018 cumulative update (KB4103721). Windows Update will automatically download and install the solution. To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates . If your system still experiences performance problems after installing the latest updates, you may be experiencing a different issue. After updating, my PC hangs and looks like this with several attenpt of hard restart ... Damn MS, stop trying new **** ‘cause we’re happy the way things are!! If it ain’t broken, stop trying to “fix” things because youre making things worse!! You’re aways asking how’s customer experience ... well it sucks since Windows 7 & 9!!

My PC will not accept my opening when using my 4 digit pin. It just shows a static I and will not react to any key actions. I then have to do a restart. It then reacts as normal and lets me enter with my pin. A real timewaster and a nuisance. Can anyone advise please?

If I remember correctly it took 20 to 30 minutes for it to load as it was at the 80% level. I just kept waiting and it finally downloaded/intalled.

Whatever update came before 1803 has now made my machine unusable... I get the "Pink screen of death" flashing and repeated resolution changes whenever I open EDGE or any app that has any graphics.... Nvidia 1060, i7 no issues with win 10 up until this update!

1803 looks to hang at 80% for a long time then I get install cannot be completed due to error 0xc000010a... searched all over no luck... is this a new error code? What can I do to get past this?
