Neuro-programmer 3.exe - .Net Famework Initialization Error

please set registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT.NET FRAMEWORK\ install root to point to the .NET Framework Install location

Can anyone help me resolve this error- I installed this program for the first time on to my windows 10 x64 brand new laptop and it is supposed to be compatible with windows 10 - when I try to open it I get the above error. i had to use revo to uninstall

  • should I try to fix this before I re install or should I reinstall first and fix later.

Any idea how to fix this - I have never edited a registry and am kind of nervous to do so- I need this computer to make a living and don't want to mess it up- took me weeks to get it set up in the first place so don't want to have to do a wipe and restore.

I hope I posted this in the right category

Thanks so much any help will be greatly appreciated

Michelle

I have a GLIMMER of hope to share with everyone.

The administrator of the mindplace forum, Andy, reported the following:

"I did get a short e-mail from Adam saying that there is a fix, but I have not received any further correspondence from him."

As Michelle stated, Adam appears to be still accepting purchases on the Transparent Corp (TC) website. The software is great even if he does no further development on it and just performs minimal maintenance to keep it functional.

It's a shame that the useful info on the TC site such as the forum was removed rather than just making it "read only" with no maintenance.

I can understand it if Adam has moved on to something (brain.fm) which probably has greater profit potential with much less labor. Still, I believe that he owes it to his TC customer base to continue to provide at least minimal maintenance to provide a reasonable life span to the existing/recent software purchasers.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for responding. I have NP2 and NP3 ULTIMATE. NP2 WONT WORK ON WIN 7 -NP3 WONT WORK ON WIN 10.

I have been trying to get support for over a year with no response. I had been planning to purchase the professional license and it appears the software is still for sale so I am puzzled. Obviously not planning to spend any more on unsupported apps. Adam is a really nice guy and I am really surprised he has not updated the software or responded to support requests. The support was great before brain.fm launched. If anyone hears from him or comes up with a fix please post it here. It's such amazing software I can't believe they would abandon it and I paid for it expecting to use it long term.

I have tried support tickets -facebook messaging and brain.fm to reach them with no response.

    MICHELLE

I submitted a support ticket to Transparent Corp (TC) on June 5. I received no response as had been indicated by other TC software users.

I sent a message addressed to Adam Hewett yesterday via brain.fm using facebook, twitter, and brain.fm support. I received two responses from brain.fm reps indicating that my message would be passed to Adam. I specified that there are at least 43, yes forty three, other concerned users who have indicated that they are facing the same issue with TC software. I requested a response from Adam to pass along to everyone. I have not heard from Adam yet. I hope that he is looking into the problem.

    Regards,

    Rob

Yes, the bottom line is, the only solution to this problem is that Transparent Corp. needs to fix their software and release a new version. But, I'm growing ever more doubtful this is going to happen.

It appears that the software has been abandoned. If this Adam person is still around, he should do the honest, professional thing and at least let his customers know that he is no longer supporting his product.

    Hi Michelle and others,

I have already edited the registry in an attempt to fix this issue. That will not solve this problem.

Deleting and re-installing the programs will not fix the problem either. Since the problem lies in incompatibility with the current version of the .NET Framework, I would not expect that re-installing Windows would solve the problem.

I have not heard of a working solution to this problem yet.

Transparent Corp. seems to be unresponsive to their support ticket system as determined by myself and others. I will attempt to contact them through Adam Hewett's latest enterprise, brain.fm. Perhaps if enough of us pursue that route, we'll get some action.

It's a shame that such great software seems to have such poor support.

Hopefully, someone will come up with a workaround and provide that solution to us.

    Regards,

    Rob
