How to Change my child's age in my family account?

I am trying to change my child's age in the family account, as it was entered incorrectly. I saw this:

I'm a parent, trying to change my child's birthdate

  1. Using the parent's Microsoft account, sign in to your Family page on the Microsoft account website.
  2. Select Manage my child's profile info.
  3. For the child’s account that you want to change, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.

But when i go to the family page, i don't see anything that says manage my child's profile info. Am I missing something?

Hi Chummy, 

The steps you are following is correct. We'd like to know which browser are you using when accessing your Microsoft account. If you are using a specific browser only, we'd suggest clearing its cache and cookies then try to go to your account again. You may also try another browser to replicate the issue if clearing cache and cookie didn't help. You should be able to see the Manage my child's profile info under Add a family member. See the picture below for your reference:

    That doesn't work. Since the account was already created with a birth date, that birth date over- rides any setting I select.

    Ok - this one just worked in our house and it really shouldn't have.

    I can see my child's account in my family but also just got stuck in the loop where I could click to update their profile and it took me nowhere. I started suspecting that the pages were being cached not at a computer level but at more an IP level.

    Step 1 - when spouse, or any other adult, is away with a different connection invite them to the family.

    Step 2 - have them join the family.

    Step 3 - have new adult member go to family.microsoft.com

    Step 4 - have new adult member go through the steps to update birthday.

    it took about 5 minutes for me to see the update here at home but it worked!

    Hope somebody finds success with this as well.

    "Manage my Child's Profile info" is there. Look further down the page. It's in an odd place...This whole Adult/child process is very buggy.
