How to Change my child's age in my family account?

I am trying to change my child's age in the family account, as it was entered incorrectly. I saw this:

I'm a parent, trying to change my child's birthdate

  1. Using the parent's Microsoft account, sign in to your Family page on the Microsoft account website.
  2. Select Manage my child's profile info.
  3. For the child’s account that you want to change, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.

But when i go to the family page, i don't see anything that says manage my child's profile info. Am I missing something?

Hi Chummy, 

The steps you are following is correct. We'd like to know which browser are you using when accessing your Microsoft account. If you are using a specific browser only, we'd suggest clearing its cache and cookies then try to go to your account again. You may also try another browser to replicate the issue if clearing cache and cookie didn't help. You should be able to see the Manage my child's profile info under Add a family member. See the picture below for your reference:

    When i click that link I get redirected to the page show bellow. Not sure what I need to do, because the "view you family settings" link takes me back to where I started. And this is microsoft support in a nutshell. I feel like a hamster in a wheel.

    Your screenshot is the same as mine now. Before I changed the DOB, my child's account/email info was displayed on this page. Is it possible that your child's account is listed under another email of yours?

    I'm having the same issue. It has been over 2 years since this was originally posted, but it still is a do-loop. 

    Starting in "Family Settings", signed in as a parent, I've tried to remove my child's account from the family group. The pop-up window says that I can't, and that I first need to remove consent by going through the "Manage my Child's profile" link. That link is a dead end that returns you back to the "Family Settings" page for the parent's account. I've tried on both Chrome and Safari.

    ** SOLUTION** ** SOLUTION** ** SOLUTION**

    Go to the Microsoft Family Safety Website:

    • https://account.microsoft.com/family/
    • scrolls midway down the page and click on "manage my child's profile info"
    • To the right of the screen click on "Edit this child's personal info"
    • On this page you can edit your child's DOB!

    I thought I could edit under my child's email or even mine. But after going in circles for about 2 hours, I finally got to change it! sigh
