How to Change my child's age in my family account?

I am trying to change my child's age in the family account, as it was entered incorrectly. I saw this:

I'm a parent, trying to change my child's birthdate

  1. Using the parent's Microsoft account, sign in to your Family page on the Microsoft account website.
  2. Select Manage my child's profile info.
  3. For the child’s account that you want to change, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.

But when i go to the family page, i don't see anything that says manage my child's profile info. Am I missing something?

Hi Chummy, 

The steps you are following is correct. We'd like to know which browser are you using when accessing your Microsoft account. If you are using a specific browser only, we'd suggest clearing its cache and cookies then try to go to your account again. You may also try another browser to replicate the issue if clearing cache and cookie didn't help. You should be able to see the Manage my child's profile info under Add a family member. See the picture below for your reference:

    I saw the answer in one of the responses above but I don't think it was clear. When you go down to "edit your child's info" and you get that message about the countries and the kids needing to give you permission, what it's basically saying is your kid (or you) need to sign into your kid's account and change it there. I just did this and worked easy peasy.

    What to do when after you clic on 'Manage my child's profile info'.  and there are no accounts visible to access.

    page shows Manage permissions as a heading 

    a blerb about adult consent 

    and 'to manage restrictions view family settings'.  

    ??

    If the child is over the age of 13 the parent cannot edit the account. The child has to change their age from their Microsoft account. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/how-to-change-a-birth-date-on-a-microsoft-account-837badbc-999e-54d2-2617-d19206b9540a.

    Go to the Microsoft Family Safety Website:

    • https://account.microsoft.com/family/
    • scrolls midway down the page and click on "manage my child's profile info"
    • To the right of the screen click on "Edit this child's personal info"
    • On this page you can edit your child's DOB!

    I thought I could edit under my child's email or even mine. But after going in circles for about 2 hours, I finally got to change it! sigh
