Your PIN is no longer available

I am unable to login into my computer (windows 10). I get the message “your pin is no longer available due to a change the security settings on this device. You can set up your pin again by going to settings/accounts/siding options.”  There are no other options for signing in. Does anyone know what to do to login?

Same here, ended up having to hold down Shift key as I clicked Restart from the power icon in corner of log in screen.  Then selected Reset PC/keep personal files.

“Your pin is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your pin again.”

-Then it prompts me to set up my pin

Then it makes me verify my identity through text message. I am able to verify. Then here’s the next prompt:

    “Are you sure?

If you reset your pin, apps might require you to sign in again, and any data that’s managed by an organization could be lost. If your pin still works but you want to change it anyway, go to Start>Settings>Accounts>Sign in options and under PIN, select Change.”

I hit “Continue” and I am shown this message:

    “Something went Wrong

We weren’t able to set up your PIN. You can try again, or skip this step and set up a PIN later.”

I hit “Retry” and it does not work. I hit “skip for now” and it logs me out.

I do not have this issue with my 2 other devices. Please help. Thank you

The only thing I was able to do was reinstall Windows. For the fourth time in a year. Every Windows update brings me significant grief.

I can't open with my fingerprint as well (and still can't)! In the end with this happened to me, I had to wipe my computer and do a hard reset.
