Your PIN is no longer available

I am unable to login into my computer (windows 10). I get the message “your pin is no longer available due to a change the security settings on this device. You can set up your pin again by going to settings/accounts/siding options.”  There are no other options for signing in. Does anyone know what to do to login?

Same here, ended up having to hold down Shift key as I clicked Restart from the power icon in corner of log in screen.  Then selected Reset PC/keep personal files.

    Ok i figured this out!!!  At the screen you would normally log into but showing the error message instead.. first click the logo button plus L.. while holding that (do not let go of logo + L) there is a power logo on bottom corner of screen that pulls up a menu highlight the work “restart” still while holding logo+L press the shift button and hold that down as well then click the restart option it will pop up a menu. You can reset from there.

    Thanks Dan, but that was impossible. Completely locked on the sign in screen. No access to anything but thw lock page. 2 computers in a row were returned to best buy for this problem. Microsoft provided ZERO help. Their computer their program.... I will never purchase a Microsoft computer again

    I held down the shift key and hit restart now my computer says working on updates and doesn't give me an option to do anything else like reset the computer

    Do you have a Microsoft Store nearby, or maybe can call support? :( Yeah, I had to sign into my Microsoft account for BitLocker too, but I’m just on a personal account not college or business.  Sorry about that
