After update of my windows 10 I got problem Desktop is unavailable

My PC is working really normal before update. After I update my windows 10 the system show this message.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted. - OK

Then I click ok after that I only see recycle bin and task bar, which can not do anything background is black, so I restart by using ctrl+alt+delete and run safe mode(safe mode with network). 

In safe mode it has no This PC it just has recycle bin and some program and I can't open any file location of any program after that I turn off my pc for 30 sec then open it the result is 

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible 

Access is denied. -OK

Only recycle bin and task bar and black background again.

I have no idea to fix this problem any more. Please I really need some help. THANK YOU. My English is not professional I hope you understand my message.

Hi Thirut,

Open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, check the box marked 'Hidden Items'

C:\users\Default\

Right click and copy the Desktop folder contained in the Default Folder

Navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile

Right click and Paste the Desktop folder into the systemprofile folder

Restart (not shut sown) your PC

    Hello daibak

    Thank you for your advice. I followed it to the letter and recovered the desktop. Problem was that I seemed to be also corrupted and was basically unusable. Having already spent a day and a half trying to resurrect this windows FUBB my time and patience had run out so I did a clean restore.

    Now I am restoring all my apps etc, time consuming but I feel like its progress. Microsoft have to stop this practice of unannounced forced upgrades and follow Apples lead. The decision needs to be the customers not the suppliers.

    The easiest way to copy the files mis to start task-manager (Ctl-Alt-Del)

    Run New Task in Separate Memory  

    Then choose fast copy or any other windows utilities for copying.

    A decade or so ago I think Microsoft did their best to keep millions of home users happy but nowadays the sole focus for PC users appears to be the corporate market. That said, Iain, and referring to the 2015

    here's what I did to get my Desktop back as I can best remember the early hours of this morning:

    So following that exact 2015 advice in the 2015 link

    1. Navigate in Windows 10 Home Edition 64-bit version 1803 File Explorer (probably via the Recycle Bin if your Desktop is gone) to your C:/Windows directory
    2. Navigate to System32
    3. Navigate to config
    4. Navigate to systemprofile
    5. If you did not find any Desktop folder there as I didn't, right-click your mouse to create a New folder which you will need to name Desktop
    6. Follow my earlier posted link instructions how to add the name Everyone in the Security tab Edit function in order to add Everyone to the Desktop permissions. Click Apply and OK when finished.
    7. Power off your PC, and do a cold start of Windows. If all goes well, your former good Desktop should reappear as though resurrected from the dead; mine did once Windows loaded.

    If you don't feel comfortable drilling down into the innards of Windows 10 I suggest asking a chum who does for under five minuts, but there is nothing programming or technical-related about doing this.

    I also have this problem. I have tried all the fixes i can find but no luck.

    Why dont Microsofft answer the question, are they incompetent and dont know the answer or just arrogant?
