My PC is working really normal before update. After I update my windows 10 the system show this message.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted. - OK

Then I click ok after that I only see recycle bin and task bar, which can not do anything background is black, so I restart by using ctrl+alt+delete and run safe mode(safe mode with network).

In safe mode it has no This PC it just has recycle bin and some program and I can't open any file location of any program after that I turn off my pc for 30 sec then open it the result is

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible

Access is denied. -OK

Only recycle bin and task bar and black background again.

I have no idea to fix this problem any more. Please I really need some help. THANK YOU. My English is not professional I hope you understand my message.

Hi Thirut,

Open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, check the box marked 'Hidden Items'

C:\users\Default\

Right click and copy the Desktop folder contained in the Default Folder

Navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile

Right click and Paste the Desktop folder into the systemprofile folder

Restart (not shut sown) your PC

    Exactly.

Tonight I am contacting the Texas Attorney General's office. I will add my name to the list of people who are no doubt contacting them. This is not satisfactory.

I would be fired and have no job if I performed as negligable as Microsoft has with this episode.

I have that same thought in mind. Microsoft needs to learn from this egregious mistake.

I can think of many, many examples of professional negligence... but this one takes the cake. Can you imagine how many people are affected by this UNSOLICITED / MANDATORY update? It has to be an astonishing number of people.

I will continue to leave my remarks here and elsewhere on the internet. I am contact the consumer reporter at all of the local to North Texas television affiliates today as well.

    Microsoft... fix your problem.
