My PC is working really normal before update. After I update my windows 10 the system show this message.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted. - OK
Then I click ok after that I only see recycle bin and task bar, which can not do anything background is black, so I restart by using ctrl+alt+delete and run safe mode(safe mode with network).
In safe mode it has no This PC it just has recycle bin and some program and I can't open any file location of any program after that I turn off my pc for 30 sec then open it the result is
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible
Access is denied. -OK
Only recycle bin and task bar and black background again.
I have no idea to fix this problem any more. Please I really need some help. THANK YOU. My English is not professional I hope you understand my message.

Open Windows File Explorer
On the View Ribbon, check the box marked 'Hidden Items'
C:\users\Default\
Right click and copy the Desktop folder contained in the Default Folder
Navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile
Right click and Paste the Desktop folder into the systemprofile folder
Restart (not shut sown) your PC
Same problem here. Windows updates are an absolute joke! This is the second time that a windows update has completely screwed up my PC! Fortunately my PC automatically reverted to a previous save point so I was able to avoid losing everything. I've also had a couple of friends tell me their PC has been messed up by these stupid updates. I will be disabling windows updates from today, they clearly are not tested thoroughly enough and Microsoft couldn't care less what effect they have on peoples computers..
None of the fixes mentioned work. It is extremely maddening to know you are trying to update from a reputable company and have your whole system corrupted and unavailable due to their update and to see that so many people had the same experience at the same time. Now we have to go pay to see if anything can be done. Seems like there should be some type of mass fix that is sent out, but as i cant do ANYTHING on my computer they would have to do it some other way. I am quite upset. Lets see if microsoft responds!

Did you resolve this issue? I am having the same issue. My machine is a Hyper-V virtual machine. Can't even go to sae mode.
