After update of my windows 10 I got problem Desktop is unavailable

My PC is working really normal before update. After I update my windows 10 the system show this message.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted. - OK

Then I click ok after that I only see recycle bin and task bar, which can not do anything background is black, so I restart by using ctrl+alt+delete and run safe mode(safe mode with network). 

In safe mode it has no This PC it just has recycle bin and some program and I can't open any file location of any program after that I turn off my pc for 30 sec then open it the result is 

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible 

Access is denied. -OK

Only recycle bin and task bar and black background again.

I have no idea to fix this problem any more. Please I really need some help. THANK YOU. My English is not professional I hope you understand my message.

Hi Thirut,

Open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, check the box marked 'Hidden Items'

C:\users\Default\

Right click and copy the Desktop folder contained in the Default Folder

Navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile

Right click and Paste the Desktop folder into the systemprofile folder

Restart (not shut sown) your PC

    Hi firstly I have to say I am not tech savvy, and secondly although from the uk am living on a geek island with not much in the way of computer repair shops that I can go to. I have tried my best to follow the instructions given in your post , I had to use an old computer running window 7to down load following the link that was given by asper? I chose the second + down and the file I downloade was called windows10Upgrade9194 I then right clicked and used “send to” to put it onto the memory stick using 5653kb I followed your instruction to try and load memory stick  I could not find anywhere that said run setup file I was only able to try opening the usb using run as administrator and then got another error msg “ErrorClass not registered” once again I am not very tech savvy so if you are able to come up with a solution can you please use baby steps when posting a solution.

    I posted the solution that worked for me below, but it's buried now with people that reinstalled windows and called it a solution.

    Basically this is a failed patch install. The solution I found was to reinstall the newest Windows patch over the top, and it fixed everything and I was back to before the issue happened.

    1. Download latest Windows full patch, right now I believe 1803 or 1809, which will be a .ISO file.

    2.Extract all files from the patch onto a thumb drive. All this must be done on another computer.

    3.On defective computer, hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up task manager. You may have to click "more options" to see menu.

    4.Under File menu, top left, click "run new task", and "browse". This is the only way I was able to access my file system.

    5.Find your thumb drive with extracted Windows patch, and run the Setup file. This will kick off the patch like normal.

    After reboot you will be good to go. This has worked for 2 computers now for me, so I think it's the fix.

    If this works for you, please give feedback so it doesn't get buried again. Waste to see so many struggle still.

    Any chance you could point me in the right direction to download the patch.  I've looked and can only find .msu files????

    I know this probably seems like a very simple thing to do, but I'm not really all that tech savvy.

    I've been looking on the Microsoft Update Catalog but am seeing many different options (which again all seem to be .msu files).

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for workaround. I am currently in step -> Wait with patients (Important**).

    I didn't succeeded with explorer.exe, so second flow can be:

    1. Make boot usb-flash
    2. Start laptop -> Win + R -> start cmd.exe from here.
    3. Insert usb-flash.
    4. Enter in command line:
    • to get avaliable drives: "wmic logicaldisk get caption"
    • go to drive (for ex. E:): "E:"
    • run setup.exe: "setup.exe"
    1. Wait till the end of ethernity.

    the final bit of setup.exe wasnt working and it told me that it is not an internal/external command or a batch file
