Dear Sir,

my windows 10 64-bit version 1709 updating this KB4093112 updates in a loop, that is initializing, downloading (no download stream since the 2nd loop), installing (counting from 0% to 100%), after that, the installation restarting as a loop, what is wrong with that?

I tried restart my PC but nothing help

This workload keeps my CPU working in 60% and above, HDD working in 40% above somethings (max 100% before restart), RAM usage 45%.

Can anyone help on this?

hardware configuration:

Intel CPU i5-3450S 2.8GHz

RAM: 8GB

HDD: 1TB drive C; 2TB drive D with bitlocker locked

Display card: AMD Radeon R9 380

I was getting an error code: 0x80070bc2 when trying to install KB4093112. Following this step help resolved my problem just minutes ago:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-update/error-0x80070bc2-when-windows-10-update-trying-to/ba4053f2-acec-43db-9305-bca3cc2b8b0c

  • Right-click on Windows key and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Type the following commands in Command Prompt window. To execute them, press Enter after each one.

SC config wuauserv start= auto

SC config bits start= auto

SC config cryptsvc start= auto

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

  • Finally, restart your PC and try to install the update that was previously returning the 0x80070bc2 error.

Did you choose the right processor and the cumulative download?  It worked for me, Error 0x8024200d was gone after a reboot.

Hard work isn't it? I've worked in IT for over 35 years and this is up there with other "stand on one foot, point east and sing" convoluted processes. I still don't know exactly which one of the suggestions is the definitive answer. Maybe it is a combination.

    Dear BertNiemeijer,

Thanks for your reminder, my fault, i have just downloaded the first one...

I downloaded the right one and installed manually, after 1 reboot, and i checked again the windows update, it tells me KB4093112 installed successfully and my system is up to date!!

Thank you all who provided suggestions and wish others can check this topic and got a solution for the issue.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Mc

You can even copy these commands and make a batch file out of them. This worked great for me! Hours banging my head on my desk figuring out why this stupid update kept looping. Now it's finally going through the install stages.
