Dear Sir,

my windows 10 64-bit version 1709 updating this KB4093112 updates in a loop, that is initializing, downloading (no download stream since the 2nd loop), installing (counting from 0% to 100%), after that, the installation restarting as a loop, what is wrong with that?

I tried restart my PC but nothing help

This workload keeps my CPU working in 60% and above, HDD working in 40% above somethings (max 100% before restart), RAM usage 45%.

Can anyone help on this?

hardware configuration:

Intel CPU i5-3450S 2.8GHz

RAM: 8GB

HDD: 1TB drive C; 2TB drive D with bitlocker locked

Display card: AMD Radeon R9 380

I was getting an error code: 0x80070bc2 when trying to install KB4093112. Following this step help resolved my problem just minutes ago:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-update/error-0x80070bc2-when-windows-10-update-trying-to/ba4053f2-acec-43db-9305-bca3cc2b8b0c

  • Right-click on Windows key and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Type the following commands in Command Prompt window. To execute them, press Enter after each one.

SC config wuauserv start= auto

SC config bits start= auto

SC config cryptsvc start= auto

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

  • Finally, restart your PC and try to install the update that was previously returning the 0x80070bc2 error.

Did you choose the right processor and the cumulative download?  It worked for me, Error 0x8024200d was gone after a reboot.

    Hi Guys,

    Toshiba Satellite L10W

I've been struggling with this for a week now ( I do not want to wipe and rebuild this laptop, it works how I need it to now.)

What I have noticed is that when the machine restarts, it will come up with a message something like

Installing stage 2 of XX    --- where XX is a decreasing number on each reboot.  Started at 102 and is now down to 97.

After which it restarts and comes up to the login screen.  Login and all works ok.

However a short time later I get a notification that the update did not complete.

So to me this indicates that there is one of the processes that loads as stage 2 that is stalling the install, even though one of the stages has been completed.  I really don't want to sit here through 100 reboots and find that this stage 2 process is still going to die.

I also noticed that there are some Dcom errors in the eventlog, looks like permission errors

Ohh hang on - I spoke too soon. Whilst changing the services to auto did allow some updates to install, they weren't the April updates. I had a "Your device is up to date" but when I checked back an hour later, it's now trying to download the April updates again :-(
