problem on 2018-04 cumulative update (KB4093112)

Dear Sir,

my windows 10 64-bit version 1709 updating this KB4093112 updates in a loop, that is initializing, downloading (no download stream since the 2nd loop), installing (counting from 0% to 100%), after that, the installation restarting as a loop, what is wrong with that?

I tried restart my PC but nothing help

This workload keeps my CPU working in 60% and above, HDD working in 40% above somethings (max 100% before restart), RAM usage 45%.

Can anyone help on this?

hardware configuration:

Intel CPU i5-3450S 2.8GHz

RAM: 8GB

HDD: 1TB drive C; 2TB drive D with bitlocker locked

Display card: AMD Radeon R9 380

Mc

I was getting an error code: 0x80070bc2 when trying to install KB4093112. Following this step help resolved my problem just minutes ago:

  • Right-click on Windows key and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Type the following commands in Command Prompt window. To execute them, press Enter after each one. 

SC config wuauserv start= auto

SC config bits start= auto

SC config cryptsvc start= auto

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

  • Finally, restart your PC and try to install the update that was previously returning the 0x80070bc2 error.

Did you choose the right processor and the cumulative download?  It worked for me, Error 0x8024200d was gone after a reboot.

    This is the in-place upgrade I mentioned in mu post a while back.  It eesolves issues with dependencies, self inflicted or otherwise.

    in my case my AV was too aggressive (my fault) and caused the issue.  I know this as i have multiple machines and the setting for the AV matched on the machines that wouldnt update.

    the process isn’t to difficult and, while it feels like the long way around,  if you’ve broken something in the dependency chain, this is the fix.  At the moment I’m 3 for 3.

    2 x machines with maximum AV settins were on WebRoot SecureAnywhere.  I changed the defaults without reading the screen.  Shot myself in the foot.

    Other machine was running Symantec AV on default.  Was kind enough to bluescreen at one stage during an upgrade and trashed after that.  Known issue.

    HI I have just got new lap top and could not get this update to go through and it was as if it was in a loop. 

    I contacted a virtual agent on this site who remote assisted on my laptop and this has now solved the issue. 

    I was wary of trying other methods and felt that microsoft should sort it out which they did. Looks like they reinstalled my Windows 10 home version but it has fully resolved the issue. Took a couple of hours but very happy.

    Hooray.....ran the above string and after a lengthy restart and windows update(s) KB4093112 was successfully installed after the annoying bug problems with re-installing loops for over a month since the last upgrade.
