Dear Sir,

my windows 10 64-bit version 1709 updating this KB4093112 updates in a loop, that is initializing, downloading (no download stream since the 2nd loop), installing (counting from 0% to 100%), after that, the installation restarting as a loop, what is wrong with that?

I tried restart my PC but nothing help

This workload keeps my CPU working in 60% and above, HDD working in 40% above somethings (max 100% before restart), RAM usage 45%.

Can anyone help on this?

hardware configuration:

Intel CPU i5-3450S 2.8GHz

RAM: 8GB

HDD: 1TB drive C; 2TB drive D with bitlocker locked

Display card: AMD Radeon R9 380

I was getting an error code: 0x80070bc2 when trying to install KB4093112. Following this step help resolved my problem just minutes ago:

  • Right-click on Windows key and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Type the following commands in Command Prompt window. To execute them, press Enter after each one.

SC config wuauserv start= auto

SC config bits start= auto

SC config cryptsvc start= auto

SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

  • Finally, restart your PC and try to install the update that was previously returning the 0x80070bc2 error.

Did you choose the right processor and the cumulative download?  It worked for me, Error 0x8024200d was gone after a reboot.

Hmm, interesting but this also worked for me. I've got a VMware virtual machine that's singularly failed to install cumulative updates for the past four months. I took a snapshot of the VM before I tried the above so I'm going to restore that image and see what state the services were in before. All the above commands are doing is changing the start-up mode of some services to automatic. This suggests that one/some of them are not in automatic start-up already. If it's that simple, Microsoft need a dressing down as it's a simple fix.

It could be though that this is coincidence because some have reported that sometimes April update finally works after several attempts.

As I write, it's not quite finished the update - about 3rd reboot with lots of much more encouraging update messages.

Has anyone found a fix that works on Error 0x8024200d for the win 10 update-kb4093112? Considering the number of people getting this error, is Microsoft working on a patch? Or are we on our own? Please keep us in the loop Microsoft techs.

    hi all,

I have a laptop with pro version and update pass and work well apparently... no issue.

But I've an other pc with familial version and same than you, KB4093112 failed to install but with different error code wich is 0x800f0922.

Computer restarted and stared installation of the update until 30%. Then restarted again to finaly finish the update and ask me for credentials.

Until here, it's allright ! Then I logged and nothing... Black screen with only the cursor of the mouse.

Ctrl alt del => task manager : no explorer in tasks...

New task => explorer.exe : worked... but starting menu doesn't work.......................................... - for my storie :)

Went back to a restauration point => All worked well

Tried a new time to install update and new fail...

So I disconnected internet connection and I first write the 4 "SC config" lines into an admin command prompt.

I restarted the computer connecting the internet wire during the starting process.

Then in Windows Update I started a new search.

Asked me to install update and for restarting and worked well. The update was installed...............

    But now.........

Windows Store is not working...... all apps and Windows Store app are with  a " ! " and I can't open it.

I hope beeing understanding cause I'm french and hope as well resolving my issue...

    Thanks
