PC won't boot to Windows 10 from SSD

I bought my PC years ago with only a HDD. I added a SSD myself afterwards. When I booted my PC after a hard shutdown/electricity fallout I had only my HDD in BIOS. I then boot from HDD, get an error and let the PC reboot. After a few times the SSD would be recognized in BIOS and I could change the SSD to default.

I got tired of this proccess a few days ago and found a tip to disable the hdd-partition with diskpart. The first time I had a hardreset again (mouse and keyboard froze and pc didn't shutdown with a single press on startbutton), I couldn't do the HDD boot-trick and tried changing the cables from hdd to ssd (ssd in sata1). This didn't help. In diskpart I made the SSD partition active. I now can see the SSD in BIOS, but booting gives an error "An operating system wasn't found.". When I retry diskpart, the partition could be made active again. It seems like this resets..

Bootrec.exe /FixMbr was successful

Bootrec.exe /FixBoot gives no access error (there could be some parts left of a dual boot setup)

chkdsk gives no problems found

Mediatool boot:

  • This PC can't be recovered with start-uprepair.
  • You need to choose which installation of Windows you would like to put back when using Systemrecovery.
  • Reboot, select a operating system and select Systemrecovery. No systemcopy available.

How could I make my pc boot again?

Motherboard: MS-7728

BIOS version: E7728MLN.209

SSD: Kingston SV200 (128GB)

HDD: ST1509DL003-9V (1500GB)

    I forgot to ask... Did you ever find settings in your Bios to switch from\choose Legacy or UEFI Bios...

    Hi,

    I am 99% certain that if you are seeing the screen in the link you provided, you\we are wasting our time messing with UEFI Bios...

    If you were running UEFI Bios, this is what you would see... Except for the screen for your machine, instead of ASUS...

    How did you create the newest flash drive... With the create media website, or use a ISO you already had ?

    You should probably unhook your HDD... it will do nothing but cause problems and create confusion messing with two operating systems hooked up at the same time..

    I didn't have to choose/see legacy/uefi. I created it on my laptop with the same windows screen with spinning dots (like https://goo.gl/images/SK6HrL).  

    I just recreated it and tried again.

    First the SSD was not in BIOS (on both places: sata and priority), then I tried to boot from HDD (knowing it will generate an error), chose to reboot and the SSD was in BIOS on both places. Just like before the problem. 

    I then booted to the recreated flashdrive with UEFI and I didn't got the Recovery error from the image. But still the same errors on bootrec..

    When I rebooted from the same drive, I got the Recovery error again..

    Hi,

    Was the flash drive made for Legacy or UEFI ?

    If you see the Windows screen with spinning dots before the login screen, You are not using UEFI Bios...

    Do you have any options in your Bios to switch between Legacy Bios and UEFI Bios or UEFI (CSM) Bios ? If there are settings, what are they set for.

    BTW...The Secure Boot I mentioned before would probably be under the Security section of your Bios...

    Just remember that when you create a Flash Drive for a particular Bios, it will not work on the other...

    I'm not sure why you are getting different results with this newer flash drive made on a different machine..

    When I make a repairstation from a windows laptop and boot it from UEFI, I get this error. It even has the EFI in the root, only 1 partition. 

    When I boot the same drive through USB KEY, it gives the two errors at FIXBOOT and REBUILDBCD again.
