A temporary fix is to use the key combination Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B
I think it resets the graphics driver. Note that your screens will go blank for a second.
Hopefully the issue is resolved in the new build being released soon.

I got a problem that keeps appearing sometimes when i maximize my windows in windows 10. It looks like this:
How can i solve this? I'm running a dual screen setup and windows 10.

2019-04-03T05:50:52+00:00 But if it's FullHD on laptop and on external screens, you can't change it. 1803 have this problem, and upgrading it to 1809 not solve problem. Temporary fix is pull out HDMI cable or change "Scale and layout" from 100% to 125% and back to 100%

2019-03-22T08:09:19+00:00 I managed to solve this issue by adjusting the screen resolutions. I have a dual-screen setup on a Sony VAIO laptop running Win 10 and had the same issue where the top section of my windows were cut off on the laptop screenwhenever I opened certain files (Word Doc, PDF etc.) The external monitor was fine.
This was completely random. Either I had to use the keyboard shortcuts as recommended by other users, or reboot the system.
The solution was to open my graphics settings and adjust the resolution of the laptop monitor. By default it was set to 1360x768 and I changed it to the following option which was 1366x768 and the problem went away.
Sometimes the "native" resolution of the screen and the default resolution chosen by Windows do not correspond, so double check that setting is accurate and see if it helps. It solved it for me after numerous attempts at driver and Windows updates.

Same here all hp, running dual monitors with slim dock, monitors running on both display port and vga, it also happens sporadically, sometimes other software is affected after chrome gets cut off but not all the time. I taught user to change the scalling of the screen to fix the issue momentarily.
No luck yet.

Can you tell me what software you're running? Anything special other than the usual MS Office, Google Chrome etc? I.e any specialist accounting/legal software etc?
From what I've been able to gather:
- All the computers affected at our work run in dual screen mode (most are desktop PCs with two screens, however, this has recently just happened on a laptop with an attached screen)
- All are HP machines with Windows 10 and I believe Intel graphics chipsets (however, we have two identical machines, one appears to do this while the other has never done it)
- Happens sporadically, it can go away for weeks at a time only to happen multiple times in one day
- Resetting the display adapter with the above shortcut does fix it for a time
- All monitors are running through the display ports
If anyone can add anything I'd appreciate it!
