State of Decay 2 crashes on startup

Yeah, this game is an epic fail.  I rebuilt my PC and the game managed to run for a few days, until this morning.  Back to the crashes.  Epic fail.

This is what helped me not saying it will help you but at first mine would stay on the state of decay 2 screen then would never move. So then i deleted the game and reinstalled it, when i did that it would open then crash and close out. But then i just said forget it and restarted my computer from the actual restart option and it ended up working when my computer came back on.

Best way around this is to uninstall state of decay 2 then go to the Microsoft store & go to settings, turn off update apps then reinstall state of decay until they resolve the problem for those who still cant run the game after trying all the other methods.

this way you can play the game but maybe not will friends who the patch worked for

So my issue is that the game tries to talk back to microsoft before it will launch.

I have issues with my router needing to be bounced.  When it is having issues I can't check for windows updates because it can't talk to the update service.  When I can't check for update the game won't launch, it just closes after hanging when is says to press any key.  Reboot the router, I can check for updates and the games launches.

I found solution for random crashing to desktop , you must turn off non-windows apps. Like msi afterburner,steam,torrent....etc. I tried this and works for me fine.
