State of Decay 2 crashes on startup

I have the same problem.

I´m from Argentina. I´ve tried everything that´s been posted in this forum and nothing has worked.

I can´t believe Microsoft is so careless about this subject, being one of the biggest companies in the world.

It´s unbelievable how many different updates are required to use my computer in peace. It wouldn´t bother me that much if they actually helped my PC work better, but on the contrary, It makes it slower, and makes apps don´t work anymore.

We´re not even talking about an old game that´s been left out of mantainance. We´re talking about a game that´s been out for just a few months and should work just fine.

How can Microsoft let something like this happen? I mean, one guy (whoever is in charge of updates and planning) decides to make an update and doesn´t realize it causes issues like this. Ok, that could happen, but the solution and fix should be inmediately released as well.

As soon as this issue is fixed, every user who got in to this forum looking for help, should receive an e-mail from Microsoft with the steps on how to fix it, along with an apology. 

Microsoft Store works TERRIBLY, I can´t how slow it is and how much does it take to make a purchase and a download. It´s just a game, it should be SO easy to make it work. It should also let us enter the folder where the game is installed. I can´t even add Microsoft games to the firewall exceptions list because I can´t access the file location. You try so hard to encompass all markets that end up not being the best at any of them.

Big mistake from Undead Labs to ally with and sell the game through Microsoft. Big image damage. We´ve been waiting SOD2 for so long and we can´t even play it because of some stupid update we didn´t even need to play it. Then you wonder why people download non authentic videogames. Right now, I feel like I´ve been robbed. I spent a lot of money on this game (Argentina´s money´s value is very very low) just to be able to play with my brother before he leaves, and now neither of us can. 

Please, help me fix it.

Yea i just gave up on it. I'm done with the Microsoft store for games. If they don't release it on steam I'm not going through the copy/paste BS "tech support" delete this,  reinstall this redownload this, answers. Microsoft sucks for pc gaming unless a third party puts the game out on their platform. Good job killing the only hope you had for an exclusive because your garbage platform can't handle someone changing thier timezone(yes that really does make the Microsoft store stop working) along with other simple normal things that affect ONLY Microsoft store apps. Steam, Origin ect basically anything else and none of this would be a problem.

Back again. So 4.0 sorted this **** issue and 4.1 broke the game for me again. The dev testing team has some serious issues... I enjoy playing the game but I'm sick of these problems to be honest.

Having the same exact issue just downloaded the game for pc but it crashes upon loading instantly I tried all the suggestions in this thread nothing seems to work.

The problem persists in windows 10 with the following.

1. You cannot play the game through the Windows Live Store.
2. Open or enable and open the Xbox app on the pc.
3. Sign into the account you purchased the game for. Live ID
4. While signed into your live account. Launch the game from the xbox app or the store.

MUST BE SIGNED INTO XBOX LIVE ACCOUNT TO PLAY.
