I am unable to install The Windows 10 Feature update to OS version 1803(from version 1709) on my PC.

It is giving 0xc1900101 error. I have all the latest drivers on my PC. The current OS build of my PC is 16299.371.

After each failure, the update gets downloaded again and it has failed 5 times.

I would be grateful if someone could please help.

troubleshooting the issue at this time may cause more harm than good.

How could diagnosing the symptom cause more harm?  IMO what is needed is clarity about the symptom.

None of those things that you suggested will fix the update at this time. Microsoft needs to fix the problem over there before they rush to release a car with no motor in it.

I don't think we really need the update. Windows was working just fine for me the way it was. Every 6 months we must suffer this. But in the case that Microsoft feels they must release updates, at least release them when they are fully functional.

Agreed. I blocked the update after 2 failed installs and doing fine for last half year. :) Maybe MS will eventually investigate why ~5% got stuck on the older version.
