I am unable to install The Windows 10 Feature update to OS version 1803(from version 1709) on my PC.

It is giving 0xc1900101 error. I have all the latest drivers on my PC. The current OS build of my PC is 16299.371.

After each failure, the update gets downloaded again and it has failed 5 times.

I would be grateful if someone could please help.

Windows 7 was great! I wish I still had it. I don’t know why they felt it necessary to destroy 7 for Windows 8, which stinks, and 10 is just a dressed up version of 8!! All they needed to do was make enhancements and improvements to 7, not completely redo it.

These updates shouldn’t be driving so many people nuts!! Either this 1803 update is too large or complicated, that it should have been a 2 or more part update.

    Agree,

    doing the same thing!

Microsoft update process is flawed. Had 1709 working perfectly. Have the ISO for 1709 and that installs clean fine.

Along comes 1803 (which for all intents should be classed nothing more than Beta software) and is fails. Even the ISO of it can't even install from a clean boot for me!

So 1803 is no longer on the time line! My Windows 7 machine never had these problems and like you is now the one in use for all my work.

Could be. My laptop is fairly new and none of the latest updates installed properly, even before 1803. The last two I had to install manually. Then when 1803 rolled out, it wouldn’t install. After many tries, I gave it one more shot and let it do it’s thing on it’s own. In the morning it was installed. The only problem I had was a graphics issue, which with some research, I got a graphics reset code and all has been well.

I have a friend who was on the phone with tech support for her computer and with microsoft. It took them nearly 8 hours to get hers working properly.

It’s weird how 1803 seems to be so problematic for so many. I hope it works out for you.

I think 1803 problems exist because of failure to install updates during 1709.. Some of my 1709 updates failed to install.. i think it is the reason why i can't upgrade to 1803. :(
