After running several diagnostics and other suggested repairs the latest update for Windows 10 finally installed successfully.
Failure to install Windows 10 April Update(version 1803)
I am unable to install The Windows 10 Feature update to OS version 1803(from version 1709) on my PC.
It is giving 0xc1900101 error. I have all the latest drivers on my PC. The current OS build of my PC is 16299.371.
After each failure, the update gets downloaded again and it has failed 5 times.
I would be grateful if someone could please help.

2018-07-28T11:51:30+00:00 The problem with that is the word temporarily. Means my computer might start seeing that update again. And I am still worried that the next update will depend on something from this update and will do the exact same thing.

2018-07-28T05:41:08+00:00 ... I was the one who asked him if he could tell my computer not to even see that update....
Hi CappieSmith@
There is a possibility to hide the Updates by Microsoft:
There you can download the small Microsoft tool: wushowhide.diagcab
In that way you can avoid annoying restarts without any positive result.
Enjoy it ...

2018-07-27T23:45:11+00:00 I had trouble stopping some of the services. However taskkill /f /pid [PID] worked.
Also I could not rename catroot2 no matter what I tried. I ended up running rename on boot software (free) and that worked

2018-07-24T13:09:17+00:00 You mean Microsoft should actually worry about the little guys along with the big corporate money makers that spend millions on their crap? Yeah, like THAT is ever going to happen. Like I said, MS solution, bury it after three out of four online techs assured me three times they could "fix it.". The fourth one (Second Level Tech) finally admitted it wasn't going to happen. Yet he offered me nothing, I was the one who asked him if he could tell my computer not to even see that update. And you KNOW the NEXT update it's going to need something from the hidden update to install.
