I followed the above instructions, I did one more thing as well. I went to settings - system - power and sleep. I set both screen and sleep to NEVER so the computer would not stop.
Failure to install Windows 10 April Update(version 1803)
I am unable to install The Windows 10 Feature update to OS version 1803(from version 1709) on my PC.
It is giving 0xc1900101 error. I have all the latest drivers on my PC. The current OS build of my PC is 16299.371.
After each failure, the update gets downloaded again and it has failed 5 times.
I would be grateful if someone could please help.

It's shocking how so many people are experiencing these recent Windows update issues. I am one of them and feel utterly abandoned by Microsoft when trying to seek help. It's also a poor response to expect people to run through detailed steps, including in some cases editing the system Registry in a vane attempt to resolve these issues. Microsoft please step up and resolve these issues once and for all, you have a responsibility to do so!
Completely agree!
